About Associate Awards

EQUIP3 Associate Awards are projects in the field funded by USAID Missions that target at-risk youth. They support specific local or regional activities that fit within the scope of the Leader Award’s worldwide program description.

EQUIP3 has Associate Awards in all five of USAID’s geographic regions. Projects focus on increasing opportunities for youth themselves and strengthening the technical capabilities of youth-serving organizations, including nongovernmental organizations, government agencies, private businesses, and education and training providers.

Current Associate Awards include:

Bangladesh Youth Employment Pilot : Bangladesh
Cross-Sectoral Youth (CSY) Project: India, Morocco, and DR Congo 
Europe and Eurasia (E&E) Region Social Legacy Program: Kosovo, Montenegro, Bosnia, Georgia, and Armenia
Ruwwad - Palestinian Youth Empowerment Program: West Bank and Gaza
Education Quality and Access for Learning and Livelihood Skills (EQuALLS) Phase 2: Philippines
Preparing Youth for Work (PAS): East Timor
Haitian Out-of-School Youth Livelihood Initiative (IDEJEN): Haiti
Garissa (G-Youth) Project: Kenya
Shaqodoon Somalia: Somali Youth Livelihood Program:Somalia
AKAZI KANOZE -Youth Livelihoods Project: Rwanda
Minority Education and Skills Training for Youth Program (MEGA-SkY): Delhi, Bihar, Delhi, Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh, India
Al-Saleh Institute Support Project for Youth (AISPY): Yemen 

Past Associate Awards include:

Education for All (EFA) Youth Challenge Grant Program: Jamaica, Uganda, and South Africa
Literacy and Community Empowerment Program (LCEP): Afghanistan
