EQUIP2/Ethiopia Building the Capacity of Primary Education Managers and Educators Program

AED through the BEP program has been assigned to implement activities that are related to capacity building, continuous assessment and piloting of innovative ideas. The activities include building the capacity of education personnel in planning, management and finance; training of national and regional curriculum developers, which includes education officers and instructors of teacher education institutions (TEIs), on primary education curriculum development,; introducing innovative approach for implementing continuous assessment in TEIs and primary schools; and developing and piloting in-service teacher training that focuses on subject matter instead of pedagogy and assessing its impact on teacher’s performance.
